RBAF donates $260,000 to 5 charity groups

A TOTAL of $260,000 was donated yesterday to five selected local non-governmental organisations by the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) in commemoration of its upcoming 52nd anniversary next week.

The cheques, each amounted to $52,000, was presented to Dana Pengiran Muda Pengiran Haji Al Muhtadee Billah, Pusat Ehsan, Persatuan KACA, Smarter Brunei and Learning Ladders Society.

Chaired by the Director of Personnel and Administration Mindef, Colonel (L) Hj Aznan Hj Julaihi, the donation cheques ceremony was held at the Officers Mess, Bolkiah Garrison in the Ministry of Defence (MinDef).

The cheques were presented by the RBAF commander, Major General Dato Paduka Seri Hj Aminuddin Ihsan Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Hj Abidin.

The donation is a collection derived from a charity walkathon held annually aimed at raising funds and encouraged members of Ministry of Defence and RBAF to adopt a healthier lifestyle.

Also present were the Services Commanders, directors, senior officers and NGOs representatives.The Brunei Times
