LIVEWIRE Brunei will be conducting a unique one-day sales training workshop for its participants and the public which will feature a young Bruneian sales expert and international coach as the facilitator.
With years of experience in sales training and personal coaching, Osvena Lia Hj Osman created "The Essence of Sales", a breakthrough programme that gives individuals insights on their principles and reasons for selling, to become an effective and enthusiastic salesperson and a passionate business presenter.
Osvena is a Bruneian who moved to Australia at the age of 16, and over the recent years transformed herself into an empowerment coach based on her life experience and intensive sales career down under.
She started her own sales company in Australia recently and has coached in many corporate sales training in various countries including in Asia and Europe.
The 29-year-old is also an active film and fashion makeup artist and entrepreneur, and has been involved in the film and fashion industry working as a beauty consultant and therapist for 10 years with networks expanding all across the globe.
"The objective of this programme is to rewire the participants' belief in sales.
"Unlike the regular sales training programme where you'd be given the tools and strategies, this is an 'experiential' programme, consisting of exercises and briefs that will identify each participants' personal style and essence of selling," she said.
She added the programme would open the participants' eyes and see how their behaviour can affect their sales.
"There's a lot of debate about people who are natural salespeople and those who aren't, but I believe everyone's really experienced in selling.
"When we were kids we used to cry for something from our parents, in actual fact, we were actually selling the idea to them to justify why they should get for you the thing you wanted so badly," she said.
She said most salespeople act out of desperation and are not passionate about the products or services they sell, which will evidently result in failure to make a sale.
"Most salespeople only focus about making a quick buck when they are trying to sell something, and hence they become desperate. Others think its scary, where they would easily break out in cold sweat," she added.
"What I want to do during my programme is take away their desperation and fear, and then shift their paradigm to make them see that selling is more about adding value, it's about creating a bigger picture for everyone and also yourself," she said.
The one-day training programme will be held on August 14 at the LiveWIRE Centre in Berakas. The price is $415 per person, with an early bird price of rate of $347 per person (before August 7).
"This is a great programme for individual business owners who have obstacles in selling or who are not happy with their sales results and want to achieve more," said Mohd Fadhilullah Tudun Hj Hassan, a business counsellor for business mentoring programme LiveWIRE Brunei.
He added, "Vena is an extraordinary young Bruneian, and to have her conduct a workshop for LiveWIRE will surely inspire more Bruneians who want to be successful entrepreneurs."
