IN TODAY'S hustle and bustle organisations, new ideas easily get lost in the fray.
If you have a proposal you want heard, don't resort to aggressive tactics.
Here are three strategies that are far more effective:
1. Know what people care about. Figure out what matters to your colleagues.
Read their blogs, follow them on Twitter, ask them directly. This will help you present your idea in the right context.
2. Answer the "why not". Most ideas have many reasons why they might fail.
Think through the risks, flaws, and options before speaking up.
3. Be passionate. Be clear about why you think you have a good idea.
But don't insist you're right. Persuade others by sharing your enthusiasm.
