Nokia to unveil new smartphones

HELSINKI: Nokia, the world's biggest cellphone maker by volume, will introduce new smartphone models next week at its annual media and industry event, aiming to assure investors the company is on track to recovery. The cellphone maker will unveil its new flagship model E7 at the show in London, two sources said. Nokia will also introduce to the public its new N8 model.

AngloPlat JV targets African fuel cell market

LONDON: AngloPlatinum said it is targeting the development of a potentially significant sector of platinum demand with the creation of a new fuel cell joint venture, Clean Energy Investments. The affiliate, created in July by AngloPlat, US fuel cell specialist Altergy Systems and the South African Department for Science and Technology, is aimed at developing new applications.

UniCredit wants Libya to show independence

MILAN: Italy's biggest bank UniCredit SpA will ask Libyan investors to show that they are independent stakeholders, CEO Alessandro Profumo said on yesterday. "We will ask these investors to show us the legal documentation to be able to evaluate from the legal point of view if they are independent investors or not," he said.
