THE second edition of the Brunei International Defence Exhibition and Conference (BRIDEX 2009), which is scheduled to be held from August 12 to 15 at the new purpose-built Exhibition and Convention Centre in Jerudong, will showcase cutting-edge technology and systems for the army, navy, air force as well as for security and law enforcement agencies from around the Asia Pacific region.

BRIDEX 2009 is organised by the Royal Brunei Technical Services (RBTS), and is fully supported by the Ministry of Defence (MinDef). BRIDEX 2009 will be the first integrated tri-service defence and security exhibition to be held in a single venue, maximising interacting opportunities between exhibitors and delegates. "This will be beneficial to the exhibitors for their business growth and also beneficial to the delegates in enhancing their capabilities to address security challenges," said RBTS.

This year's event will see exhibitors displaying their cutting-edge equipment and systems that could be utilised by agencies such as Brunei's National Disaster Management Centre.
