PIZZA Hut and Dairy Queen staff were celebrated last Tuesday evening in an annual company dinner held by Olive Tree Corporation (OTC), the parent company of the Pizza Hut and Dairy Queen franchise.

More than 300 of Pizza Hut and Dairy Queen employees together with Olive Tree's corporate partners and friends enjoyed a night of good food and fun at the Orchid Garden Hotel. Happy employees also put together a number of performances for everyone's pleasure.

OTC's owner operator, Johnny Liew conveyed his appreciation to his employees and gave them extra motivation for the year to come in his speech.

According to Liew, Olive Tree has been in the midst of a fundamental shift of itsbusiness operations.

Changes in advertising, systems and procedures are transforming the company to one with a big heart, said Liew.

Instead of focusing on sales targets and profits, the company has achieved a clear sense of higher purpose.

"Our higher purpose ... is about providing an environment of intangible value to our customers that is beyond our great food, great service and great value," said Liew.

Last year was also the company's most successful one in company history, he added.

Pizza Hut began its dominance of Brunei's pizza palate with its first outlet at Gadong in June 1993.

Today there are 11 Pizza Hut outlets and eight Dairy Queen outlets in the nation, proving the company's success. The Brunei Times
