Diva says true sensuality lies in the eyes

SKIMPY clothes and raunchy dances may titillate audiences, but the true art of sensuality lies in a woman's eyes, says glamorous Bollywood actress and former Miss World Priyanka Chopra.
In an industry where lead ladies mostly play the hero's sexy romantic interest, Chopra, 24, has cut some meaty roles and has starred in two of last year's biggest hits superhero movie Krrish and crime thriller Don.
"Sensuality is in a woman's eyes rather than the clothes she wears," the tall beauty says.
"Sensuality will have a degree of exposure but one should look attractive and beautiful and not vulgar."
So far as sex and sensuality go, most Bollywood films avoid nudity and restrict themselves to titillation through raunchy song and dance sequences where women gyrate in revealing clothes.
Chopra, who won the Miss World title in 2000, feels such techniques could only provide cheap thrills.
"Sensuality is only a part of movies but it is not the only thing.
"It should be in the body language of a woman and not by being cheap," says Chopra, who has acted in about 30 films and has seven set for release this year.
As a young girl, Chopra did not nurse any acting dreams, but says the Miss World title pitchforked her into films. She signed her first film in 2002.
"I got offers for films and I thought there was nothing wrong in giving it a shot," says Chopra, who received death threats from conservative vigilantes after winning a beauty pageant.
