Roadshow on financial planning by TAP

IN A bid to raise awareness about the importance of financial planning, the Employee Trust Fund (TAP) held a roadshow yesterday for 150 officers civilian staff of the Ministry of Defence at the Tutong Camp.
The roadshow was aimed at disseminating information and educating the Mindef officers and civilian members of the ministry on sustaining financial responsibilities without depending on others. Lectures were presented by Irwandy Lois, TAP Manager of the Belait branch and Md Ronfouzi Md Roger of the Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam's Marketing Unit. The roadshow was held in response to the titah of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in conjunction with the monarch's 60th birthday last year, where His Majesty expressed the importance of financial planning for future needs.
Since the launching of the financial planning roadshow in 2005, government officials and staff, students of education institutions have taken part. This year the roadshow will be aimed at the private sector.
