TV show to feature Empire hotel restaurants

TWO restaurants of The Empire Hotel & Country Club will be featured on a Malaysian television programme on dining and traditional cuisine of Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia.

In a statement, Brunei's posh hotel said it was delighted to be selected as one of the venues for top dining in the sultanate to be featured on "Periuk Malaysia Belanga Brunei".

The TV programme was filmed jointly by Radio Televisyen Brunei (RTB) and Radio Television Malaysia 1 (RTM1).

The shooting for this particular segment featuring the hotel's Atrium Cafe{aac} and Bunker Cafe{aac} was held on March 14.

"Periuk Malaysia Belanga Brunei" is a 22-minute programme consisting of 26 episodes covering traditional local cuisine from Brunei and Malaysia, top places to dine as well as tourist attraction spots in the two countries.

Actress and TV presenter Serina hosts the programme for the Brunei series.

The series is slated for airing on Radio Televisyen Brunei Channel 5 and 6 and Radio Television Malaysia 1 in May this year.
