Vietnam's VP starts official visit

THE Vice-President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Madame Truong My Hoa, and Mr Han Van Hien are in Brunei Darussalam for a four-day official visit.
The Vietnamese vice-president and delegation arrived in the sultanate yesterday.
Members of her entourage include the Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, Madame Nguyen Thi Han, Nguyen Danh Thai and the Minister and Chairman of the National Sport and Physical Culture Committee.
Also part of the vice-president's delegation are Vietnam's Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam, the Vice Chairman of the State President's Office, the Deputy Minister of Trade, the Deputy Minister of Education and Training, the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and a member of the Board of Directors of Petro Vietnam.
The Minister-in-attendance for the vice-president while in the country is the Deputy Minister of Health, Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Laila DiRaja Dato Paduka Hj Awg Hazair Hj Abdullah.
The Vice President will be presented in an audience with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Madame Truong My Hoa is to have an audience with His Royal Highness Prince Hj Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office today and attend a luncheon hosted by His Royal Highness the Crown Price at the Jerudong Polo and Country Club.
Among the Vietnamese vice-president's visit itinerary will include a tour of Universiti Brunei Darussalam and visits to the Jame'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah in Kiulap, the Brunei Museum, Kampong Ayer and the Royal Regalia in the capital, among others.
