Rusila given new lease of life

BRUNEI DARUSSALAM'S Acting Association (Rusila) conducted a get-together ceremony yesterday for those interested in pursuing a career in various forms of the arts, such as acting, dancing, singing, writing and music.
The association, which has been inactive for a number of years, is being revived by Pro-Team Committee members in their efforts to integrate members and in turn raise the association to national levels.
The ceremony began with a speech from the chairman, Haji Johari Pehin Orang Kaya Udana Laila Dato Paduka Hj Omar, and the Pro-Team Committee Leader, Dk Susilawati Pengiran Dato Paduka Hj Damit.
A panel of distinguished figures held a discussion on a number of topics concerning the status of the different fields of arts in Brunei.
Students from Business School, Maktab Duli Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah and Universiti Brunei Darussalam were among those who attended the function to learn more about the association.
As a first step towards its reactivation, the association has opened applications for those interested to become members of the organisation.The Brunei Times
