Post office marks 100 years of service

THE Postal Service Department of Brunei Darussalam yesterday awarded prizes to winners of a colouring competition and roadshow quiz organised to mark 100 years of its operations.
The first place winner for the colouring contest in the Belait District was Mazliana binti Mazlan, while Nur Atiqah binti Haji Abas and Mona Salinah binti Haji Mejee were adjudged second and third price winners, respectively.
From the Temburong District, first place went to Norsyahiirah binti Nordin.
Safwan bin Wahaja and Mohd Faez Fikry bin Hamidun claimed the second and third prizes, respectively.
For the Tutong District, Zawawi bin Mahmud won the first place.
Henrohayani bte Henry and Nurul Nadilah binti Matdiah were awarded the second and third prizes, respectively.
A total of 12 contestants were declared winners of the quiz competition sponsored by Syarikat Alif Tech and Juramas Technologies Sdn Bhd.
Hajah Norain Bte Pg Haji Abdul Rahman claimed the first place.
Saini Bin Muhidin, Haji Iskandar Bahrin Bin Pengiran Haji Abdul Rahman, Harlina Ijos and Noorbaya Binti Haji Tahir finished second, third, fourth and fifth, respectively.
The prizes were given in ceremonies held at the Stamp Gallery of the Post Office in Bandar Seri Begawan.
Mohamad Manan bin Haji Lakim, the Acting Postmaster General of Brunei Darussalam, was guest of honour during yesterday's event.
Also present were officers of the postal department as well as sponsors from Alif Technologies and Juramas Technologies.
