Gelato shop expands in Kiulap

DREAM Cones opened its second branch yesterday, giving the public the chance to sample a variety of gelato flavours for free.
The firm is using a cafe{aac} concept for the new branch in Kiulap, with sandwiches and pastries part of the menu.
Even Pehin Kapitan Lela Diraja Goh King Chin, Managing Director of GHK Motors Sdn Bhd, sampled the frozen sweets with his grandson yesterday.
"It is a nice cafe{aac}; something different in Brunei. The gelato is so light and full of flavour," said a Dennis Yong Teck Leong, who helped himself to seconds and thirds of the gelato.
"As a diabetic, the fruity flavours were my choice, light and refreshing, it doesn't have the fatty taste of ice cream that would most probably shoot my sugar levels up," said another patron.
The weather also helped draw crowds to the cafe{aac}. One customer said, "It is so hot today, luckily there is free ice cream being given out, my kids love it."
Leslie Lai, owner of Dream Cones, said "The outlet in the Kiulap Mall only sells gelato, while in the second branch, customers will also be able to enjoy meals and mocktails."
