Bazaar gets good response

More than 30 vendors took part in a three-day Bazaar Ria in Kuala Belait last week.

The colourful bazaar was organised by the Welfare, Sports and Social Section of the Kuala Belait-Seria Municipal Department.

It was open to vendors from all the country's four districts. There were various activities put up to entertain visitors at the event.

One of the participating vendors expressed her satisfaction towards the public response.

"Although we had a hard time getting more vendors from Kuala Belait to join in the bazaar and finally resort to vendors from other districts, however, the participation from the public was just great," she said.

School visit to Air Force

Some 40 students from the Pengiran Anak Puteri Hajah Rashidah Secondary School, Lumut, made an educational visit to the Royal Brunei Air Force in Rimba, Gadong.

During the visit the students were taken for a closer look at the many types of aircraft and other facilities available at the base.

The trip provided the students a rare chance to learn more about the Air Force and career opportunities it offers.
