Prince attends Islamic Conference of Foreign Ministers' 34th session

HIS Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and Her Royal Highness Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Zariah, yesterday, left for Islamabad, Pakistan.

His Royal Highness will be attending the 34th session of the Islamic Conference of Foreign Ministers (ICFM).

Present at the airport to bid farewell to His Royal Highness and Her Royal Highness were Pehin Dato Lim Jock Seng, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade II and His Excellency Syed Haider Jawed, the High Commisioner of Pakistan to Brunei Darussalam.

At the 34th session of ICFM, ministers will discussed the draft resolutions adopted during the peparatory meeting in Jeddah last month on a number of topics which include the political affairs, legal affairs, and humanitarian issues concerning Muslim communities in non-OIC member states. The ICFM was established to examine annual progress reports on the implementation of decisions taken within the framework of the policy defined by the Islamic Summit.

This year's session on peace, progress and harmony will be held at the Jinnah Convention Centre from May 15 to 17.
