Golf tournament for mukims and villages

THE Ministry of Home Affairs and the Village Consultative Councils of Mukim Gadong, Mukim Kilanas and Mukim Berakas B will hold the Charity Golf Tournament between Brunei Darussalam Mukims and Villages 2007 from May 18-20 at the Royal Brunei Airlines Golf Club, Berakas.

The charity tournament is geared towards amassing donations to fill up the district charity fund to assist residents facing financial difficulties as well as strengthening ties between the ministries and villages in the sultanate.

The golf meet is open to all residents in all four districts. There is no limit to participants from all the mukims and villages but each team must comprise of only five players.

The match will be held according to the 36-system and Team and Individual categories. Prizes for the 'Hole in One' include a motorcycle and other attractive packages.

There is an entry fee of $100 for each participant and forms can be obtained from every district office, the Immigration and Labour Departments as well as from the RBA Golf Club in Berakas. The ministry advises interested parties to send in completed forms and the list of players to the Secretariat at RBA Golf Club before 4pm on May 16.
