Road safety rules

THE Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) reminds the public, especially road users, to be more careful when using the roads by following rules and regulations concerning road use to avoid undesired incidents.
The rate of road fatalities in Brunei from January to April this year recorded an increase compared to the same period last year. "With this in mind, the RBPF would like to advise the public to cooperate in ensuring drivers in Brunei be more careful, tolerant, compromising and responsible when using the roads," the police said.
The RBPF also reminds the public to follow orders from traffic police at all times, give way to traffic control, patrol motorcycles and traffic motorcycles escorting dignitaries. Other emergency vehicles such as ambulances and fire trucks should also be given a wide berth on the roads.
