At the conclusion of the meeting, the AMM chairmanship will be turned over to Singapore.

The ARF will discuss regional and international security issues, such as the war on global terrorism, and the denuclearisation of the Korean Peninsula.

Asean foreign ministers will welcome to the discussions 10 dialogue partners that include Bangladesh, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Mongolia, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea and Timor Leste.

Dialogue partners China, Japan, Republic of Korea, Australia, New Zealand, India, Russia, Canada, the United States and the European Union along with Asean foreign ministers will attend the Post Ministerial Conferences (PMCs) which will be attended by a top United Nations official on behalf of UN's Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.
