Lucky baby delivery

SATURDAY, dated 07/07/07, proved to be a lucky day for a Thai couple and a taxi driver. The couple successfully delivered their second daughter in the back seat of a Bangkok taxi bearing a 7777 license plate, Thai news reports said yesterday.
Saiyon Opas, driver of the cab with the unique 7777 number, was hailed by a couple at 4 am Saturday and told to take them to hospital fast for a speedy delivery.
Saiyon couldn't drive fast enough for Anchalee Japian, 21, who ended up giving birth to a baby girl in his taxi before he made it to Bhumibol Hospital, where a nurse severed the umbilical cord in a back-seat procedure. The hospital listed Anchalee and her baby in good health.
"I thought before starting the car this morning that my 7777 taxi would bring me luck today," Saiyon told the Bangkok Post newspaper. "Luck really came my way with the back-seat delivery," he said .
