BIBD conducts skills course

BANK Islam Brunei Darussalam Berhad (BIBD) held a five-day training programme on leadership, presentation and communication skills for its employees in a bid to further develop their skills and capabilities.

"Leadership, presentation and communication have been identified as one of the most important skills and potentially will be incorporated as a core training programme in the Bank's Training Curriculum," said a press release issued by BIBD yesterday.

The training programme, which ran from April 27 to May 1 and was attended by some 25 employees from various divisions of the bank, will aid in development of the participants by providing high-quality and cost-effective training programmes.

Speaking at the event was Rebecca Morgan of the Morgan Seminar Group based in the United States.

The author of six popular books, two of which have been translated into nine languages, is a certified speaking professional (CSP) and Certified Management Consultant (CMC).

Some of her other memorable experiences included being featured on the Oprah Winfrey Show, "60 Minutes" and USA Today. The Brunei Times
