A history lesson
Thursday, April 24, 2008
STUDENTS from the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah School yesterday paid a visit to the Brunei Darussalam History Centre to learn more about the roles and functions of the centre.
Amongst them was His Majesty's granddaughter, Her Royal Highness Pengiran Anak Raheemah Sanaul Bolkiah. During the school visit, the children learned about the roles of the historical centre, as well as participating in a hands-on experience on the work carried out by the government department.
In a bid to stir interest amongst the students, they were given instruction on how to lift inscriptions from age-old artefacts by using tracing paper. Students were also briefed on the care taken in handling the artefacts. (ISY1)
