$4.2m primary school to rise in November

RESIDENTS of Perpindahan Lambak Kanan will have a new primary school by November, following yesterday's foundation laying ceremony at the 2.84 hectare site.
The estimated $4.2 million construction cost of the primary school will include three-storey classroom blocks, an administration block, kindergarten block, canteen and a dental clinic.
As part of the Ninth National Development Plan, the Ministry of Education project was aimed at preparing a conducive, comfortable and sufficient infrastructure for students.
The foundation laying ceremony was led by the guest of honour, the Permanent Secretary (Higher Education) of the Ministry of Education, Hj Mohd Daud Hj Mahmud.
The project was managed by the Estate Planning and Management Department, and conducted by the Building Service Department of the Public Works Department under the Ministry of Development through the main contractor, Global DRS Sdn Bhd.
Also present at the ceremony were senior officers from the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Development. (NAS1)
