HM attends Sarawak Regatta

HIS Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam arrived yesterday afterrnoon to begin a two day visit to Sarawak.
On arrival at the Kuching Interntaional Airport His Majesty was greeted by His Excellency Tun Datuk Patinggi Abang Hj Muhammad Salahuddin Abang Barieng, Governor of Sarawak and Her Excellency Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Hjh Norkiah, the Chief Minister of Sarawak, Pehin Sri Hj Abdul Taib Mahmud and Datuk Amar Puan Seri Laila Taib. Other senior officials of the Sarawak State Government were also present to welcome His Majesty's arrival.
Soon after arriving His Majesty proceeded to attend the 2008 Sarawak Regatta that took place at the Kuching Waterfront. His Majesty was accompanied by His Excellency the Governor of Sarawak and the Right Honourable Chief Minister of Sarawak for the flagging off amen's category event. At the end of the event, His Majesty consented to present prizes to the Sarawak Regatta 2008 winner. The Brunei Times
