Tuesday, August 19, 2008
THE Civil Service Institute (IPA) has joined forces with the Civil Service College (CSC) Singapore for an inaugural joint programme to enable closer ties between the two government agencies.
The IPA-CSC Leadership Development Programme spans two weeks, with the first half conducted in Singapore from August 12, 2008.
The second half started yesterday at the IPA and will be officially completed by August 21, 2008.
A total of 26 participants, 12 from Brunei Darussalam and 14 from Singapore will go through the programme designed to provide insights into the public service systems of both countries. It will focus on common or collaborative opportunities for both sides and include discussions on case studies on governance and bilateral issues.
The programme also allows the participants to interact in an informal setting to build rapport between counterparts and colleagues.
Throughout the programme, participants will be involved in team building activities, briefings from various agencies and lectures in topics such as Good Governance, Policy Analysis and Performance Management. (NAS1)
