UK senior diplomat bids farewell to Brunei

THE British Acting High Commissioner, Martin Walley and his wife, Dilek, held a farewell reception at their residence at Kg Tanjung Nangka to their close friends in the Bruneian community on August 13.
As a mark of friendship and respect, their farewell reception was well-attended by a number of VIPs and local friends including the Deputy Minister of Industry and Primary Resources, Dato Paduka Hj Hamdillah Hj Abd Wahab; Commander of the RBAF, Pehin Datu Lailaraja Maj Gen Dato Paduka Seri Hj Halbi Hj Mohd Yussof; Commissioner of Police, Pehin Datu Kerma Setia Dato Paduka Seri Zainuddin Jailani; prominent businessman Pehin Orang Kaya Ratna Setia Dato Paduka Hj Abdul Hapidz Pehin Orang Kaya Laksamana Hj Abd Razak.
Walley has served in the sultanate for four years and his next posting will be with the Foreign in London.
