HIS ROYAL Highness Prince Hj Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office concluded his visit to the Philippines yesterday, after participating at the 2007 World Pool Championships for the second consecutive year.

The Crown Prince was in the Philippines at the invitation of the President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, according to a press release issued yesterday.

During the visit, the Filipino president hosted a luncheon for His Royal Highness, which also saw an exchange of views to further enhance bilateral cooperation. His Royal Highness was one of the 128 players who battled to win the most prestigious prize in the international world of pool, which started at the Araneta Coliseum in Manila last Sunday.

However, the Crown Prince did not make it to the knock-out stages, after losing to Germany's 2007 World Pool Masters champion Thomas Engert and Hong Kong's Lee Chenman in the group stage.

Accompanying His Royal Highness throughout the visit were Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah, Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda 'Abdul Muntaqim and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Muda Abdul Qawi.

Present to bid farewell to their Royal Highnesses at the Bulwagan Kalayaan Villamor Airbase was the Philippines' Vice-President Noli de Castro and other dignitaries.
