Account Assistant (Accounts Receivable)
Responsibilities:- Performs any combination of the following calculating, posting and verifying financial data for use in accounting records related to account receivable.
- Ensuring data submitted from sales return is properly recorded in sales summary, generating monthly report on circulation sales and ensure data related to sales is recorded in the company’s financial accounting system.
- Prepare invoice billing and to assist in follow up of outstanding balance from the advertisers/ clients.
- Performing day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork related to finance department.
- Possess good analytical skills and have good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
- Minimum Diploma in Accounting, BDTVEC ND in Business and Finance, AAT or at least 1 year working experience in a commercial accounting environment.
- Experience with Management accounting, budget and internal control function are an advantage.
- Computer literate and have knowledge of financial software application. (Preferably TBS accounting software)
- Able to plan and organize effectively.
- Able to work independently and as an active team member.
Senior Reporter
Responsibilities:- To report on events, activities, trends, etc that are of public interest and have an impact on society
- Coordinate and guide junior reporters
- Planning content, reporting, editing and proofreading as required
- Developing and improving the product with new ideas for stories and columns
- Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism or related disciplines
- Have a minimum five years of professional journalism experience in the print media
- Strong writing, analytical and communication skills
- Ability to gather research/information resourcefully
Reporter
Responsibilities:- To source, gather and report newsworthy events.
- To attend events and gather necessary details to produce an informative and well balanced news in order piece.
- To develop relationships with the community and maintain an up-to-date contact book.
- Liaise and discuss with fellow reporters, editors and photographers to work together to produce a good article.
- Minimum of good ‘A’ levels or its equivalent.
- Other certificates related to the field of journalism will be considered.
- Good communication skills in English and Malay (verbal and written). Knowledge of extra languages is an asset.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Good integrity, confident and has self discipline.
- Ability to motivate oneself and others.
- Independent yet a good team player.
- Determined, driven and tenacious in work.
