TEN teams have successfully got through two grueling HSBC Tri-Xtreme stages and made it to the finals.
The HSBC Tri-Xtreme Challenge which has been taking place over the last two consecutive Sundays has seen more than 400 participants laboured through exciting and fun challenges that took them through a variety of activities and across multiple terrains during the first and second leg of the competition.
The last and what may be the toughest challenge yet that the contestants will face takes place this Sunday, 6 July 2008 at The Empire Hotel and Country Club.
Last Sunday, 40 adrenaline charged teams gathered at Jerudong Park and attempted Stage 2 of the challenge - The Xtreme Adventure.
The teams were given a wooden puzzle to start off before embarking on a tough regiment that included four hours of running, strategising and brainstorming under the hot blaring sun.
There were six challenges altogether and it took the teams across the playground. The challenges were designed to test the patience and knowledge of each individual according to a statement.
The top 10 teams to complete the challenges were The Sellers, Warrior 4, Blue Langit, TEAM RADHI, Papio 897, EndGame, Curious, FAKKM, Xcaliber and Firemen and they will proceed to the final stage.
The third and final stage of the competition, Going to the Xtreme! will be held at the Marine Centre area of The Empire Hotel and Country Club and will involve a series of mental and physical challenges.
The HSBC Tri-Xtreme challenge is being held over three successive Sundays, with mounting challenges and ever more intensive and difficult tasks.
The 10 teams taking up the final stage tomorrow have their work cut out for them.
