Brunei Essay Writing Competition 2009

The Brunei Times through its newspaper's edu@BT is inviting all residents of the Sultanate to showcase their writing abilities in an Essay Writing Competition.

Bruneian students studying abroad are invited to participate as well.

With this year's National Day theme "Kedewasaan Bernegara", students, teachers and the general public can submit their entries in the three categories on the respective topics:

Primary School:	Topic: What I Like Most About My School And Country Essay to be no more than 200 words.
Secondary School:	Topic: How I Like To See My Country In The Next 25 Years Essay to be no more than 400 words.
Open:	Topic: How We Can Help Brunei Darussalam Realise Vision 2035 Essay to be between 600 - 800 words.

3 Grand prizes and 50 consolation prizes will be awarded to the winners of each category

Primary School Category Grand Prize

$300 Cash, notebook computer, Dining Vouchers for 4 persons @ Sheraton Utama Hotel, 1 year's subscription to The Brunei Times

Secondary School Category Grand Prize

$500 Cash, notebook computer, Altec Lansing Speakers, Dining Vouchers for 4 persons @ Sheraton Utama Hotel, 1 year's subscription to The Brunei Times

Open Category Grand Prize

$1,000 Cash, notebook computer, Altec Lansing Speakers, Dining Vouchers for 4 persons @ Sheraton Utama Hotel, 1 year's subscription to The Brunei Times
