PREMIER Automobiles Sdn Bhd yesterday unveiled the "International van of 2007" — Ford Transit minivan — at its Beribi showroom.
Although a van, the Ford Transit's performance and speed is akin as driving a saloon car on the road.
It was proven when the media were invited to a test drive along the hill of Jalan Telanai, Kampung Mata-Mata and other hilly areas.
The independent jury made it clear that patrons would be impressed with the new Ford Transit minibus inside out, praising its performance and handling.
Representatives from Premier Automobiles said, "Ford's engineers have taken one of Europe's best vans and made it even better."
"The interior is all about spacious comfort. The new, two-tone instrument panel, easy control and plentiful storage contribute to a light and roomy feel," said Premier Automobiles.
The bold and modern exterior is specially reinforced to offer all-round passive protection.
Headlights switch on automatically in low lights and wipers turn automatically when it detects rain.
Cruise control allows the passengers to sit back and enjoy the trip. Plus, there is also an optional satellite navigation and Bluetooth wireless connection.
Premier Automobiles representatives concluded that, "Nine, 12, 15 and 17 seats are available on which each will enjoy the reputation for dependability, comfort, class leading safety and superb fold handling." (BPA1)
