LAKSAMANA College of Business (LCB) students attended a talk recently from Northumbria University, which focused on increasing awareness regarding the courses offered at the UK university.
The talk was presented by Operations Manager from Northumbria University, Nina Jalaludin, and was held at the college premises.
The target group for the talk was LCB students from the July and September 2010 intake who are currently enrolled in Cambridge International Diploma in Business, KCB Certificate in Business Management as well as BTEC HNC and HND in Computing.
The talk was also intended for students who are currently in their final year at the business college, namely those taking KCB Higher Diploma in Business Management and BA Common Year 1. The talk aimed to provide these students who will be continuing their second or final year of degree in UK next year with a wider option on what courses are being offered by Northumbria University.
During her presentation, Nina briefed the students on how to gear up to tackle life abroad. Aside from briefing the students on the process and procedures involved in visa application, the students were also counselled concerning their accommodation and transportation. The Brunei Times
