SINGAPOREANS residing in Brunei Darussalam were feted to a luncheon organised by the Singapore Association of Brunei at the Member's Grills Lounge of the Empire Hotel and Country Club in Jerudong yesterday.

The get together lunch was held in conjunction with the Singa Golf as well as to celebrate the Chinese New Year.

Coming to the gathering as the guest of honour was the wife of the Singapore's High Commissioner to Brunei, Peifen Koh.

Dr Patrick Ang C H, a Singaporean working at the JPMC Gleneagles, expressed his joy and gratefulness for the attendance of his countrymen who turnout for the event.

The function which is held annually is meant to foster close bonds between Singaporeans through activities or a meet and greet session and the Singa Golf is one of them with attractive prizes to be won and a lucky draw.

Apart from that, Singapore Association of Brunei also aimed to strengthen its long-standing friendship with their Bruneian friends and counterparts through organised theme-subject talk and forum.

"We usually arranged talks at the Singapore High Commission in Brunei and have conducted about five of them on health related topics such as obesity, diabetis and asthma and the next one will deal on stroke and heart attacks," said the Consultant Cardiologist and Physician.

Dr Patrick is calling out all Singaporeans currently residing and working in Brunei to register their names and details to the Singapore Association of Brunei so they can be informed of any news updates or upcoming events.
