SINCE February 12, the national flag of our beloved Brunei Darussalam has been hoisted throughout the Sultanate.

They can not only be seen flying in towns, but also in villages and mukims in all four districts.

This includes Kg Luagan Dudok in Tutong, where the national flags were first hoisted during a clean up campaign at Hj Abd Azim Mosque.

The flag hoisting was done by the Village Head, Johari Hj Maidin, witnessed by village residents who participated in the clean up campign.

Not long after, more flags were national flags were hoisted at the village's Balai Raya.

"With the national flags being hoisted today, it symbolises the village residents' loyalty and patriotism towards His Majesty The Sultan and Yang Dipertuan of Brunei Darussalam and our beloved country," said Johari.

Awang Johari also added that the hoisting of the national flags and clean up campaign are organised annually. The Brunei Times
