New Micronet Jerudongcampus opens its doors

AFTER more than 20 years of existence in Brunei, Micronet International College officially opened the doors to its new Jerudong campus yesterday for registrations of new students for the March 2012 intake.

According to General Manager of Micronet International College Sharon Chin, a total of 633 students registered with the college yesterday.

Chin said that the students were "approved by JPKE to pursue their study at Micronet International College under the BPTV scholarship scheme".

"Besides the 633 BPTV students, there are also 24 self-funded students registered in this March 2012 intake," she said.

Chin said, "There will be no changes to the modules or courses offered in both the Gadong and Jerudong campus. Both campuses offer the same courses."

There are currently six courses offered by Micronet International College: the BDTVEC Pre-National Diploma in Computer Studies, BDTVEC National Diploma in Computer Studies, BDTVEC Higher National Diploma in Computing, NCC Education International Certificate in Computer Studies, NCC Education International Diploma in Computer Studies and NCC Education International Advanced Diploma in Computer Studies.

"All these courses are accredited by the Brunei Darussalam Technical and Vocational Education Council and Brunei Darussalam National Accreditation Council respectively," said Chin.

With the opening of their new campus, Micronet International College expresses their hope to contribute more to local IT education and industry development.

Students interested in joining the September 2012 intake are encouraged to enquire more about the courses offered and the entry requirements of the college.
