BIBD launches Home Showcase

BANK Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) yesterday launched its Home Showcase at The Mall's Atrium in Gadong, which will run until July 8 and open from 10am to 10pm.

On hand to launch the showcase was Permanent Secretary (Technical and Professional) at the Ministry of Development, Hj Suhaimi Hj Gafar. Managing Director of BIBD, Javed Ahmad was also present to welcome visitors.

Throughout the course of the showcase, BIBD will be offering potential home buyers various financial solutions that will help fulfil the dream of owning their very own home.

Customers will also get a chance to talk to BIBD's Chartered Financial consultant and qualified Islamic Financial planner, who will be happy to provide consultations on the best financial solutions to customers.

One of BIBD's financing solutions is the BIBD Rumah Plus, a home financing product which is syariah compliant and has unique features, including payment periods of up to 30 years and a financing amount of up to $1 million. This product is based on the concept of Musyarakah Mutanaqisah.

The concept allows the bank and customer to jointly purchase a house, thereby making both parties the co-owners of that house. The customer's ownership of the property will gradually increase over time through payments, until the customers entirely buys BIBD's share and becomes the sole owner of the property. BIBD will also lease its diminishing share in the property to the customer during the period of finance.

Furthermore, customers who have successfully signed up for any of the bank's products and services will automatically be eligible to enter the "Blessing Rewards 2" campaign, with a chance to win a brand new Lexus IS 300 convertible and other amazing prizes.

Furthermore, the first 100 customers who apply for a BIBD Debit Card, or convert their existing ATM card to a BIBD Debit Card, will walk away with a voucher or exclusive BIBD merchandise. This applies throughout the showcase.

BIBD is also featuring various displays of interior designed home spaces, such as a beautifully furnished living room, kitchen and bedrooms.

There will also be fun activities for the whole family, ranging from arts and craft to free flow of cotton candy and drinks.
