THE Department of Civil Aviation yesterday warned that a maximum of $3,000 fine will be slapped on kite flyers playing near restricted areas.
According to a press statement issued by the Department of Civil Aviation, the department is maintaining its efforts to accomplish safety in aviation operations in the country.
The department has advised the public to not fly kites in the vicinity of local air fields which can be hazardous as these kites may cause damage to aircrafts, including helicopters.
Kite flying offenders are liable to a maximum of $3,000 fine under the Air Navigation Act (Paragraph 113), Article 86 (5). (KAY1) The Brunei Times
