TEAM spirit was at an all-time high yesterday among BAG Network Sdn Bhd employees as some 90 personnel yesterday attended a team-building session.
The session was held at the Business Centre in the Empire Hotel and Country Club led by Rozanna Yunos, facilitator of the team-building session and Elizabeth Sim from HSBC Learning and Development Centre.
The aim for the team-building session was to enable BAG personnel to work on their coordination, to meet each other and to build teamwork through team-building activities and align all staff objectives with the direction and the future of the company.
Some of the activities arranged for the personnel included lessons on working with limited resources, communicating properly, ensuring team members deliver correct information, time management, planning and motivational effect of a team task.
Staff participation was bigger than last year's due to the increase in the number of personnel working at the company from 50 to 80 this year.
One of the participants said the team-building session was meant to build a positive office culture in terms of improving communication among employees in the main office as well as satellite teams or off-site staff.
One of the examples the BAG personnel cited was on improving communication between the staff and the management, from the introduction of suggestion boxes which encouraged employees face to face communications.
BAG Network is a joint venture between Ministry of Finance and Accenture, a global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company. BAG Network is a provider of IT and business services solutions. (SHS1)
