THE Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) held a korban and aqiqah ceremony for its staff and personnel in celebrating Hari Raya Aidil Adha yesterday at the RBPF headquarter's prayer hall in Gadong.

The ceremony, which was attended by the Commissioner of Police, Pehin Datu Kerma Setia CP Dato Paduka Seri Zainuddin Jalani, began with the Asar prayers followed by a recital of the Surah Al-Fatihah to bless the event.

The ceremony was also attended by directors, deputy directors, head of departments and senior officers from the RBPF as well as low ranking officers and their family members.

Following the prayers, a presentation ceremony of portions of the meat were distributed by the Police Commissioner.

A total of six cattle, which were contributed by six groups of officers and individuals from the RBPF, were sacrificed and distributed among the deserving recipients selected by the committee.

The ceremony concluded with a recital of a thanksgiving doa by the RBPF Imam, Pg Hj Ludin Pg Metahir.
