HER Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah yesterday joined six students from Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) for an educational visit to the Ministry of Health.
The visit was part of the students' course in Health Policy which emcourages students to examine the health system and issues in health policy making and design of health promotion programmes.
The visit was also aimed to let the students learn and discuss with experts on the challenges of planning and delivering quality care in Brunei, said UBD lecturer Frankie Ong.
"We have one of the best health systems in the world. Our health system was ranked fourth in the Asia-Pacific region and second in Asean after Singapore."
"It is important that we ask ourselves this question: Do we take our health for granted? Most often, we do just because the symptoms of illness are not showing up yet," he said.
He added that the students will complete a three-day first aid course at the National Resuscitation Centre as part of this course on the third or fourth week of May.
The students also toured the Health Promotion Centre. Opened in November last year, the centre serves as a platform where the public can learn more about health and leading a healthy lifestyle. (RSH1)The Brunei Times
