Reappointment of CSPS Board of Directors

HIS Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to reappoint the Board of Directors for the Centre for Strategic and Policy Studies (CSPS) for a period of two years commencing July 1, 2009, the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) announced in a press statement yesterday.

PMO Permanent Secretary Hj Omar Hj Abd Rahman has been appointed Chairman of the Board, while Dato Paduka Mohd Alimin Hj Abd Wahab has been appointed as his deputy.

The members of the board itself comprise: Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Finance Dato Paduka Hj Ali Hj Apong, Dato Paduka Hj Abd Rahman Hj Mohiddin, Dato Paduka Malai Hj Ali Malai Hj Osman, Stephen Ong, Fauziah Dato Talib and Hj Salleh Bostaman Zainal Abidin.

The position of the secretary for the board will be served by Dato Paduka Dr Hj Ismail Hj Duraman, who was recently announced as the CSPS executive director.

CSPS was established as a corporate body on July 1, 2006 which works towards the advancement and dissemination of knowledge as well as the promotion of research on the Sultanate on all matters pertaining to the country's interests.

The think-tank was set up under the Centre for Strategic and Policy Studies Order 2006. (ODM1)
