THE public can expect a treat from neighbouring countries tomorrow as they will be performing several complex land, air and sea manoeuvre as part of the Brunei International Defence Exhibition (BRIDEX) 2009.
The 30-minute showcase which starts at 11am will witness several military vehicles and aircraft available in action, as well as other military equipment displayed at the exhibition hall of BRIDEX.
These includes participation from the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) with an aerobatic display of their Sukhoi SU-30 MKM fighter aircraft, a modern long range combat aircraft and two-seater fighter aircraft will perform various manoeuvres to show the capability of the aircraft.
Meanwhile, the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) will also be displaying their F-16 fighter aircraft or also known as the 'Fighting Falcon', a single seat single engine fighter aircraft, well known for its high manoeuvrability.
Both aircrafts will be performing several solo aerobatics over the BRIDEX building by the sea in Jeurdong.
There will also be Turkey's FNSS Savunma Sistemleri A S, demonstrating their ACV-300 Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV) and North Sea Boats, Surabaya Indonesia demonstrating its rigid inflatable boats.
The demonstration has been conducting daily since the exhibition was launched by His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam on Wednesday.
Organised by the Royal Brunei Technical Services for the second time, BRIDEX is the premier defence and security event in Southeast Asia.
About 250 companies from 25 countries are exhibiting their products at this year's BRIDEX.
The exhibition is open to the public today and tomorrow. (SHS1)
