Dear Editor,
AS THERE are more aspiring filmmakers mushrooming in the country, I believe it is time to establish a proper platform for young budding film enthusiasts where they will be able to learn a thing or two about filmmaking.
A lot of these 'filmmakers' are creative but they need the proper guidance and tools to help them achieve their goal of becoming one.
As of now, I have seen a lot of their videos on YouTube and they've received praise and criticism from many viewers.
It's good to know that there are people who has extended these filmmakers support and some urged the RTB to help them by producing and televising their works on the state broadcaster service.
Can and will RTB help these filmmakers who are averagely young, energetic and creative?
Or what can the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports do to help them?
I've read in your paper about the Indie filmmaker Adam Groves, who has definitely inspired the nation's youth to follow his footstep and having him as a role model definitely is a big advantage to us.
Hopefully, the relevant authorities will read this and take up interest on this matter because who knows one day there will be the first Bruneian director coming out of this country to shoot a big-budget film. AHR, BSB
