Brunei puzzle book to boost country's image, tourism

I AM happy to hear that the world's first book of puzzles associated with Brunei has been launched on January 27, 2012.

It was not just this bit of news that is inspiring, it is also the fact that the book (titled Brunei.Q) is also published by our own local publishing company - the PHMD Publishing - which is managed by Ak Mohd Khairi Pg Hj Metussin (who is coincidentally the co-author of "Business Icons").

It shows that our youths can do anything for the good of the country if they put their efforts (and minds) to it. Ak Mohd Khairi's initiative to publish this book of puzzles for example, helps to re-affirm Brunei's place in the world map. The effort will benefit the local puzzle enthusiasts as well as the interested foreigners in the country.

It also inspires feelings of "sayangkan negara" or patriotism as well as helping the government to boost tourism in Brunei through the knowledge of locations and places within the country.I am glad that we have this book out in public as we are coming closer to celebrating our country's independence day on February 23, 2012.
