Food choice on RBA flights

Wednesday, August 8, 2012

Dear Editor,

I AM a regular passenger of Royal Brunei Airlines and I observed that on all my flights, I hear complaints from fellow passengers about the food onboard. To be specific, there always seems to be insufficient supply of chicken rice and more of beef with noodles on the menu.

I wasn't spared from this disappointment during my recent trip to Manila to celebrate Mother's Day. Since I only eat chicken and fish, I had no choice but to settle for the bread and whatever dessert was on the menu.

By the way, I haven't been served fish for the last three years and a half of my travelling on board RBA but I'm not complaining.

Different flights, different experiences. That's how I always remind myself everytime I'm in a situation where I could've have complained but decided not to. But sometimes, it's irritating no matter how apologetic the flight attendants are.

May I suggest that RBA bring the same number of chicken meals and beef meals to avoid forcing passengers to eat what's left in the food trolley? I also noticed that even the coffee and tea are served warm instead of hot.

RBA is already unique with its prayer before taking off feature and making passengers happy and satisfied should be the airlines main concern.

A Traveller,
