Appreciating a cop's exemplary gesture

Monday, August 13, 2012

Dear Editor,

I AM writing this letter to commend the kind gesture of a policeman at the Brunei airport's departure hall on the morning of August 9, 2012.

Though there was this notice "No Waiting" at the drop point, the cop on duty, seeing my pregnant wife, allowed us more time to carry our bags for the check in.

It's nice to see that the airport is becoming people-friendly, with concern for children and pregnant women. Thanks for the significant progress and developing the country.

An appreciation or a kind gesture will not be forgotten but praised. With benevolence and kindness, let's make Brunei a friendly, understanding and culturally rich country, especially as a popular tourist destination.

These core values have been taught to us by our forefathers and the rulers of this country. I hope the Brunei Police Department can pat the policeman on the back for a job well done! Impressed
