TRAVELLERS now have a more affordable and quicker way to visit Kota Kinabalu with AirAsia's introduction of a travel route between Brunei and the Malaysian city.

Booking period for daily Kota Kinabalu-Brunei flights opens today till July 12 for Sept 9-April 30, 2010 travel period. To mark its launch, an all-in fare from RM29 ($11.95) one way is on offer via online bookings.

The new route caters to the emergent demand from East Malaysia.

"More importantly, this new service will not only stimulate travel and enhance connectivity but also tap the existing market from Brunei and feed the traffic to AirAsia's vast route network in the region and beyond," AirAsia said in a statement.

Kathleen Tan, regional head of commercial AirAsia, said: "We are launching this new service with direct daily flights which is a testament of our confidence in this sector. Our low fare will certainly benefit the immense demand from business travellers and foreign workers especially ... from Indonesia and the Philippines." Debbie Too
