50,000 visitors expected at 2012 Kota Kinabalu Book Fair

THE Sabah State Library expects more than 50,000 people to visit the 2012 Kota Kinabalu Book Fair to be held for nine days beginning Sept 1 at the Suria Shopping Complex.

Its director, Wong Vui Yin, said various types of books would be sold at special prices at the fair which would open from 7am to 9pm.

He said there would be 90 stalls selling various types of books and the participants included book distributors and publishers, as well as Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), Kadazandusun Language Foundation(KLF), Dewan Pustaka Brunei and Times Magazine

"Sabah Community Development and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Azizah Mohd Dun is scheduled to open the book fair on Sept 1," he added,
