RADIO Televisyen Brunei (RTB) is looking forward to resolving past broadcasting problems when the state broadcaster sits down with a delegation from Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) in a coordination meeting today to discuss technical problems that have been encountered in the past years as well as possible future broadcasting of collaborative works.

"Our technical teams will sit down with them (the delegation) to discuss or identify technical problems and rectify them," Hj Ali Hj Aji, RTB Deputy Head of Radio Programmes, told The Brunei Times at a welcoming dinner at Safari Jaya restaurant in Kiulap.

He explained that RTB had encountered various technical difficulties, such as transmission and audio problems, during broadcasting with RRI in the past.

"So we hope to overcome these problems and look forward to a better working relationship with RRI," he added.

In his remarks during the dinner, Hj Ali expressed hope that both broadcasting parties would strengthen their commitment and enthusiasm to constantly work together in all aspects.

RTB and RRI will engage in a pantun (quatrain) programme scheduled to be recorded this morning. This afternoon, both parties are expected to sign a Memorandum of Understanding that will see more undertakings and future collaborative works between the two.

The Indonesian delegation, who arrived yesterday afternoon, is currently in the Sultanate on a work-visit programme until November 24.The Brunei Times
