PARTICIPANTS of the V-Sigma Workshop said that the programme has been satisfactory and useful for them, according to the Director of Universiti Brunei Darussalam's (UBD) Institute for Leadership, Innovation and Advancement (ILIA) during the closing of the workshop.
"The feedback forms we took today confirmed that 99 per cent of responses have rated the V-Sigma to be 'satisfactory to very satisfactory', 85 per cent state that they 'most definitely found the programme useful and that 70 per cent said that they would recommend the programme to the others in their department," said Dr Diana Cheong in her closing address yesterday.
She related that during the 10 intensive days of the V-Sigma programme, the participants were challenged and exposed to all skills of leadership and strategic thinking, financial management, negotiation and legal skills.
"It is hoped that the workshop has provided participants with a sound foundation and understanding of the core leadership and executive skills which are valuable skills to attain especially in the present competitive job market," she said.
The feedback, the director added, also provided recommendations such as the setting up of smaller and more specialised "follow-on" workshops as well as new models of strategic human resource management and decision-making for leaders.
A total of 80 participants comprise officers from government and private sectors, were presented with certificates from Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Education and Internalisation) of UBD Dr Azman Ahmad.
Themed "Aim Further with Key Leadership and Executive Skills", the workshop which began on November 16 was conducted by facilitators-cum-trainers from UBD.
