BOUSTEAD Sdn Bhd, in collaboration with Brunei Shell has launched a two-week "Brunei Tell-A-Friend Road Safety, Boustead Service Campaign 2010" which started yesterday .
This campaign is a follow up on the "Brunei Tell-A-Friend Road Safety Campaign" that was launched by His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in September, 2009.
The launching event held at Boustead's BSB Showroom in Beribi was done by Dato Paduka Lim Beng Thai, Managing Director of Boustead Sdn Bhd.This campaign hopes to promote road safety awareness among Nissan and Suzuki customers, contractors, staff, family as well as friends.
The "Brunei Tell-A-Friend Road Safety Campaign" is aimed at reducing fatal accidents and injuries caused on the road that can easily be prevented with a simple awareness of road safety rules.
This campaign will also help to encourage people to improve their driving efficiently and passing the information on to colleagues, family, and friends.
Boustead has adopted the slogan of "Road Safety Responsibilities Start with You and Me" and highlights five important safety rules within this campaign which are "Fasten Your Seat Belt At All Times", "Always Drive Within The Speed Limit", "No Handphones While Driving", "Wear Your Helmet When Biking", and "Use The Pedestrian Crossing To Cross The Road".
Customers who service or repair their cars at Boustead's Beribi or Kuala Belait workshops from February 1 to 13 2010, will be issued a "signature card" which contains the five road safety rules and is expected to be passed on and viewed by friends, colleagues and family members with a confirmation of a signature.
Upon acquiring 10 signatures, customers will receive a goodie bag from Boustead for helping them spread the awareness of road safety.
Boustead expects to collect 9,000 signatures by March 31, 2010.
